From 5 to 7 May, the CICEE-T project partners met in person in Antwerp, Belgium, hosted by Thomas More University of Applied Sciences. Over two days of intense meetings, the consortium discussed key updates on the project, focusing in particular on the dissemination and impact of the CICEE-T e-Toolbox—an innovative digital tool for Safe Sport coach education—as well as the final steps to complete before the project officially ends on June 30th, 2025.
Launched in July 2022, the CICEE-T project has seen significant progress. The consortium conducted both qualitative and quantitative research, developed a culturally informed Safe Sport e-toolbox in six national languages, and contributed to the academic field with scientific publications.
A highlight of the gathering was the Multiplier Event (ME) held online on May 6th, which introduced the project and the Toolbox to a broader audience. The event received strong participation and featured three distinguished guest speakers from the sport sector:
- Dr. Emma Kavanagh, Professor of Sport Psychology, Bournemouth University (UK)
- Dr. George Mavrotas, Secretary General of Sport, Greece
- Mr. Nectarios Alexandrou, Director of Football Academies, Cyprus
The event offered an opportunity to present the work accomplished so far and reflect on the value of culturally tailored education in promoting safe, inclusive environments in sport.
Stay tuned—the full recording of the event will soon be published on our official website so that everyone interested can access it and learn more about the project and its results.
