On 10 March 2025, CEIPES organised a promotional event at the Faculty of Sport Sciences of the University of Palermo as part of the European CICEE-T project. The event aimed to engage future coaches, who are about to enter the professional world, in discussions on Safe Sport, the central theme of the CICEE-T project.
During the event, key project topics and achieved results were presented. Discussions and debates focused on interpersonal violence in sports, helping participants understand the implications of physical, psychological, and sexual violence involving athletes, coaches, and staff. These issues manifest in various forms, including verbal abuse, mistreatment, bullying, discrimination, and harassment.
The results of mapping activities and qualitative and quantitative research conducted across Belgium, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, and Spain were also shared. This provided valuable insights into the current state of Safe Sport across these countries.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of the most significant outcome: the CICEE-T Toolbox. Participants had the opportunity to explore its functionalities, register on the platform, and engage with its content. Many expressed enthusiasm in spreading awareness and using the Toolbox as an educational resource to promote Safe Sport principles in their professional careers.
